UX ResearchAs I wrote in my blog post (posted 9/4/15), UX for a tech company that is or shares the same ideals as Google or Facebook would be an amazing job to be a part of. Social and academic tech companies have shaped my growth over the last 15 years and I'm passionate about helping other users have the same happy experiences that I've received. Assisting in the evolution of how we, humans, choose to grow along with these platforms is nothing short of rad. Plus, it's a job where I can utilize, increase and nerd out on my code skills while studying my favorite cognitive subject: theory-of-mind!

MarketingAlthough I got my first taste of professional marketing experience in 2014, I've always had a mind for design and sales, as well as an ability to understand the user/customer. My cognitive science education helped me advance this already innate understanding of how we think, which in turn, can be shaped to understand how we buy and why we buy. Design, sales, and perspective are elements I've found invaluable to marketing so far, and I'm grateful to not only acquire these skills but I hope to continue to develop them.

ManagementFrom earning 5th grade class president in 2002 to serving as team lead when designing/pitching a new product proposal to investors in 2013, I've always naturally gravitated to being a leader. With my (previously mentioned) ability to understand a variety of perspectives, my leadership skills thrive as I can easily relate to many people and help them succeed at the pace they learn best at while not compromising the project efficiency. As a leader, I never underestimate the importance of the entire team. Instead, I can visualize how the team's benefits can be used to strengthen each other.

ConsultingMy educational background is quite diverse with a major in science, a minor in dance, and an area of focus in music. My extracurricular involvements range from playing sports to studying languages. Needless to say, I love to learn about many different topics! My desire to learn, my ability to take initiative and my motivation to exceed expectations makes me a great candidate for a consultant position because I can accomplish any project I put my mind to. Plus, I have that extra sales edge, represented via my Girl Scout Hall of Fame 1000+ Boxes of Cookies award.
